2022 iGNITE Luncheon
Did you know that the Greenville Homeless Alliance is less than five years old? Our growth has been explosive. The 2021 Impact Report shared a 1400% increase from 2018 - 2021. Growth is important but increasing our collective knowledge while also creating durable solutions are both key to shifting the conditions holding the problem of homelessness in place. At the end of 2021, GHA reported that 93% of Working Group members said:
• they are gaining a new perspective on homelessness from other members of their working group.
• they see how their working group is connected to other working groups and the overall vision of system change.
Homelessness is a bigger problem than any one agency or government entity can solve. Hear from one of our founding members, Tish McCutchen, in this short video to understand this new way of working on homelessness, called the collective impact model.
This is why we were created.
Our mission is to strengthen and broaden support in an effort to increase options for individuals or families who are experiencing homelessness and who are seeking stability in Greenville County.
This year's luncheon is focusing on facing homelessness….it’s something that men, women, and children in Greenville County do every day. And it’s something we must do too…facing the impact homelessness has on our community and determining what we can do to share hope to those experiencing it.
Our 2nd Annual GHA iGNITE luncheon: Facing Homelessness/Sharing Hope is set for Tuesday, November 15 from 12:00 - 1:15 pm. Learn more by visiting our landing page and see sponsors who have signed to end homelessness in Greenville County.
This year’s event will feature powerful stories from people who have FACED HOMELESSNESS in our community and celebrate the organizations and individuals that are SHARING HOPE and IGNITING CHANGE. The event will include the unveiling of COMMUNITY ART PROJECTS done in partnership with the Triune Mercy Center Art Room and local Greenville artists. Highlights of GHA's COLLECTIVE IMPACT in Greenville County will also be featured.
We are offering a free virtual ticket option this year. While this is our only fundraiser of the year, our goal for the 2022 iGNITE luncheon is to also be a friendraiser as we work to increase the number of residents in Greenville County that understand homelessness and want to be a part of the solution. Gaining friends can help residents understand durable solutions and myths that are preventing progress.
This event helps fund the collaborative work of the Greenville Homeless Alliance and is only made possible through the work of our volunteers and your generous contributions.
To watch virtually navigate to our eventbrite page. Thank you for your support, thank you for inviting your friends to watch, and thank you for igniting change.
